Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for the right candidates to work with us as an RGN, RMN or RNLD in our luxury Nursing Home, Glenburnie Lodge Care Community, in Wenvoe.

The home has a capacity for 70 Ladies and Gentlemen and offers the very best care and service for older people. The successful candidate must be a qualified RGN, RMN or RNLD and have the passion, drive and enthusiasm to assist in leading a team that will share the same values and principles. We are looking to hear from a RGN,RMN or RNLD who preferably has previous experience of working with the older person in any environment and is looking for a new opportunity.

Responsibilities of Registered Nurse include:

· To provide the highest standards of person-centred care to the ladies and gentlemen living in the home.

· To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the ongoing care needs of the ladies and gentlemen.

· To ensure that the highest standards of medication management are adhered to at all times and in accordance with legislation.

· Make clinical recommendations

· To assist and lead the team of staff and manage resources when required

· To take a lead role in dealing with any emergencies

· Collaborate with other healthcare professionals

Requirements of Registered Nurse:

· You will be required to hold a current NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), RMN or RNLD

· 2 Years’ experience in a care home setting would be preferable but not essential.

· Excellent communication skills

Our nurses, as well as having a current NMC Pin Number, should be dedicated, passionate, compassionate and empathetic and have the most up-to-date clinical knowledge. Effective communication – with colleagues and those we care for – is also essential.

Every day our nurses have the privilege of supporting people with their care needs including personal care and support, nutrition and hydration and activities. As a nursing professional you will be able write detailed and personal care plans and risk assessments, as well as also having safeguarding knowledge, experience and understanding of regulatory frameworks including MCA and DoLS, experience of working in a nursing care home and be able to make professional judgements in relation to critical clinical situations.
